Another chapter, another stage

I could hear from the phone, he sound disappointed.

He was supposed to go China next month on another working trip, but his company changed the mind of sending him. And the date actually crashed with my birthday, 11 May. Is it because of the email I sent to his boss last week? I couldnt find any answer but I knew it was, somehow.

And I knew whether the date crashed with my birthday, he would still go if company asked him to. So, should I feel sad or happy?

How can we reach a stage of compromise without somebody resenting something? The hidden intentions - Good or Bad?

Just hope that either of our forgetful mind would soon leave that moment behind, and that he would not continue harping on it.
