It was a beautiful but quiet Saturday for Zann and me.
I brought her along to Burger King.
And I had fish fillet for my lunch.
A quick one in fact, cos we were supposed to meet Sal.
I find this weird. First time I came across lor.
Isnt fish fillet supposed to be bone-free? tsk...tsk..
I decided to get an insurance policy for Zann.
up with Sal. And it was my first time meeting her too.
Does anyone has to stuggle with sanity being a SAHM?
Despression sinks, temper shoots up, voices raised, sensitivity aroused.
from cooking, laundry, housechores, running after a toddler blah blah blah
especially when one has to do everything with no helper.
It's tiring.
230pmI made an appointment with my hairstylist.
Finally has a day for myself. Half a day precisely.
Just to have my hair cut. Trimmed and treatment.
Mum's off day and my interview appointment.
Everything fell on the same day.
Just nice and easier to arrange.
Plus it was my 'golden' chance not to stay at home.
I was late for my interview.
Worse, I even yawned and my brain couldn't think right.
Not a good sign.
----------
I walked over to Central after my interview.
And I passed by this visually-enticing cafe.
The menu viewed from the glass window.
All cupcakes at $2.50 after 5pm.
The menu comes in passport-sized booklets. Cute!
Behind the white counter, churned out very simple
and catchy cupcakes and the lemony cheesecakes.
They were too pretty to eat, yet I just had to have one.
It was 8pm. My tummy was growling...haha
And so I ordered a strawberry cupcake for a try.
Needless to say, I walked out as a happy, satisfied customer.

Speaks from the heart
Thursday, August 23, 2007
A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge.
The father was kind of scared so
he asked his little daughter,
“Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that
you don’t fall into the river.”
The little girl said, “No, Dad. You hold my hand.”
“What’s the difference?” Asked the puzzled father.
“There’s a big difference,” replied the little girl.
“If I hold your hand and something happens to me,
chances are that I may let your hand go.
But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter
what happens, you will never let my hand go.”
In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind,
but in its bond. So hold the hand of the person whom
you love rather than expecting them to hold yours….
----------
How do we reach a level of trust without resentment ?
When would there be that coveted level of understanding ?
I hate to guess. Maybe some things, are better left unknown.
Tired. I just want to turn a blind eye.
My little indulgence

So near yet so far...hee
Cendrine's bread baking session
Sunday, August 19, 2007
That's luncheon meat bun.
Cendrine's version...hee
Baking bread is much easier than cakes.
Cos I can shape the bread into whatever I want.
Ta-da,
here's presenting you
my chicky toast..cute or not?
Those cookies...
Macarons.
Those colourful sandwiched cookies
is my current obsession.
And I am in love with this french pastry.
Yea. I bought a few assorted flavors to try out.
It's sweet and yet addictive.
Now it's making me craving for more.
Food and Game

This photo was taken yesterday.
After her lunch, she decided to
have some mischief 'entertainment'
that was climbing up to sit on
my chair by
herself.
Still hungry, she asked for more FOOD.
So tam jiak one ...hehehe
look at that leftover cream on her lips...
Well, do you know what she has eaten ?

Have you ever win those cute toys
from those claw vending machine?

About that milk triangle.
Has anyone came across ?
I never sees it anymore except the rectangular type...
Bring me back to those days in primary school when I have
to pay the teacher for the whole week supply.
Yea...and I never missed it.
That triangle thing was always on my table without fail.
One thing for sure now, Zann doesn't like to
drink those full cream milk...
Even the chocolate flavour was rejected by her.
She only insist on RIBENA ...
Zann's language development
Thursday, August 16, 2007
A list of few questions was provided to select and tick,
and which a graph ll be plotted according to their statistics.
Here's Zann's results :
For now, at the age of 20 months,
the graph shows that Zann’s
language development is actually at 22 months…
though at times I still dun understand her blabbering.
Done

I thought I should introduce Zann fresh milk and
so I got her a pack. She took a few sips and then frowned.
That expression told me she did not like it.
Alright, will try again next time.
I gave her ribena during lunch.
This time round, I could see that she was enjoying it...
That thing about my dream...
I did not sleep well on that night.
The first night of the seventh month.
I dreamt that I am inside forbidden city.
I could not believe it either...
Some more I dreamt on paying $15 to go in with Zann.
Forbidden city: a tourist attraction situated in China which
seated 24 emperors hundred years ago.
Yea, not that I fantasized about visiting that place lor.
Seriously, I really woke up in a sweat.
Geez..I dun look forward touring China also.
Sigh...tell me how to keep nightmares at bay... -------
To 'stabilise' myself from the nightmare aftermath,
I treated Zann and myself a lunchie...whahah~

Life is 8 simple steps in a nutshell.
Happy 20 months old
Sunday, August 12, 2007
Teeth 4 bottom, 4 top, 2 molars on the left and right
Zann has shown improvement in her
level of understanding,
that she could follow my intructions and fits into her daily routine.
Flying kisses/wave when anyone of us left the house.
Walking over to the door to wait for me to open after wearing her shoes.
Will
pick up and keep the toys in the correct place when asked to.
Has learnt how to
fold her arms while waiting for me. (impatience ?)
Recently has a made a new discovery on her slight acceptance of soft toys.
While acting out on the cooking and eating, she will bring the spoon up, pretending to feed me, with the word 'mmm mam'.
She will point to the cat, and says 'mao' (chinese for cat).
