Extracted from Channel News Asia. SINGAPORE: About 70 out of every 100,000 children under the age of 5 are diagnosed with pneumococcal infection in Singapore every year.
This pneumococcus bug can cause infection of the brain, lungs and blood, and may even be fatal in some cases.
....And at S$180 per dose, the cost itself may also put off many parents.
Zann was issued a cert of vaccination.
Meaning that she has completed all the
basic vaccination in her health book.
Now left those optional ones.
And one of them is the pneumococcal jab.
I had asked PD is it neccessary to take this jab.
He told me it's up to individual.
Hmm... to be safe, it's better to give.
and I will wait until after Zann turns 2.
